Choosing a lift
Capacity, speed and machine room.
Three choices decide most of a passenger lift. We make them with you at the site visit.

Speed
1.0 m/s suits buildings up to about eight storeys. 1.5 to 1.75 m/s suits most condominiums and offices. 2.0 to 3.0 m/s is for high-rise towers, where waiting time matters more than cost.
Machine room or machine-room-less
A machine-room-less lift puts the machine at the top of the shaft and saves a room on the roof. A machine room is easier to maintain and suits taller and busier buildings. Both are available.
After installation
We test the lift, arrange the JKKP (DOSH) inspection and hand over the Certificate of Fitness. Then the same team maintains it: monthly visits, three-monthly examinations and every renewal.

How many people does a passenger lift carry?
410 kg carries about 5 people, 630 kg about 8, 1000 kg about 13 and 1600 kg about 21. We size the lift to your floors, traffic and building type.
Machine room or machine-room-less?
Both are available. A machine-room-less lift puts the machine at the top of the shaft and saves a room on the roof. A machine room is easier to maintain and suits taller buildings. We recommend one based on your building.
Whose lifts do you install?
Our own passenger lift line, specified for Malaysian buildings and installed and certified by LNE. Capacities 410 to 1600 kg, speeds 1.0 to 3.0 m/s. We also maintain and modernise lifts of every other brand.
Do you replace old lifts in existing buildings?
Yes. If the old lift is beyond economic repair we remove it and install new. If it is sound, we usually recommend modernisation first, because it costs far less.
Who arranges the Certificate of Fitness?
We do. After installation we test the lift, arrange the JKKP (DOSH) inspection and hand over the Certificate of Fitness with the lift.
Do you maintain the lifts you install?
Yes. The team that installs your lift maintains it: monthly visits, three-monthly examinations and the Certificate of Fitness renewals.
How long does a new lift take?
Manufacture, delivery and installation each take time. We give you a programme in the quote once the shaft is measured or the drawings are checked.
